The Painted Turtle Retreat provides the space for women's education and awareness on traditional roles, impact of colonization, effects of trauma and the importance of Grandmother Leadership. We have been honored to host in co operation and conjunction with the Neegoni Wabun Gi-Gay-Win Lodge a project sponsored by the Ontario Women's Directorate. Neegoni's practitioners have worked with many individuals with their healing workshops providing the tools to regain personal empowerment, promoting a positive lifestyle through Aboriginal teachings inherent to First Nations Communities.
